Angola Government Approves Oil & Fuel Testing Laboratory Project
To begin operation by mid-2014
LS Energia has received official Angolan government approval for the import and operation of a highly sophisticated oil and fuel testing laboratory from the United States. The laboratory will offer certified analyses of nearly all fossil fuels, gases and lubricants to equipment owners in Angola and West Africa, employing and training local technicians to operate the high-technology instrumentation. These tests will identify contaminants in fuels, gases and lubricants, enabling our customers to avoid costly repairs and downtime of their machines and equipment. The laboratory will be based in Luanda and begin service to the aviation, oil & gas, power generation, heavy equipment and other industries by mid-2014.
The photos depict the signing of a contract between the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP) of Angola and LS Energia by ANIP Administrator, Mr. José Chinjamba and LS Energia’s legal representative Mr. Higino de Brito. Mr. De Brito was accompanied by Mr. Leonardo Aqui and Mr. Gustavo Pérez, LSE technicians who worked extensively in qualifying the project for ANIP approval.
After this formal ceremony participants toasted the success of what Mr. Chinjamba called “a project with cutting edge technology and unique in the Republic of Angola.”
